Plasma Spectroscopy Department
International cooperation
Euratom Project
Since 1997 in Max-Planck Institut für Plasmaphysik in Greifswald, Germany is in construction a new-generation stellarator,
Wendelstein-7X.
Our department participates in the works by preparing and calibrating the spectroscope for
monitoring the spectral lines of hydrogen-like ions of oxygen and carbon (C VI, O VIII).
This topic is co-supported by UE in the frame of the FUSION/Euratom Project.
FAMO Laboratory
Since 2006 we cooperate with FAMO laboratory (and thereso with their international collaborators).
Our cooperation is with the
MT BEC group which
produced (in 2007) and now studies the only Polish Bose-Einstein
condensate.
ICARE Laboratory, CNRS
Since 2002 we cooperate with
ICARE Laboratory, CNRS,
(formerly Laboratoire d'Aerothermique). During this cooperation we partook in two projects - planetary entry
project, using the hypersonic plasma chamber PHEDRA and plasma propulsion project, with the help of
the plasma chamber PIVOINE.
University of Maryland & University of Crete
Cooperation on the topic of Stark profiles of the spectral lines in plasmas.
