About us

We are students fascinated by widely understood physics. Despite interests in frequently distant fields of physics we are able to work together and develop ourselves within the framework of the Opole University Society of Physcics Students under scientific guidance of Ireneusz Książek, Ph.D. and Grzegorz Bujnarowski, M.Sc. Joint efforts bring fruits in the form of popularizing physics in schools, among local and academical community, for example by active participation in Opole Sciece Festival (Opolski Festiwal Nauki) and visits in local schools with presentation of experiments.

Our curiosity about structure and principles ruling the Universum, both in micro- and macroscales, pushes us sometimes into far places, hence our involvement in various scientific conferences, workshops and practices in Joint Institut for Nuclear Research in Dubna.

Functioning in OU SPS gives us the possibility of meeting peaple, who are interested in similar things and looking together for answers to troubling questions about physics. As a result of it there are discussions (sometimes stormy) and penetrating subject what is a reason to prepar and present papers. And thanks to the kindliness and the time devoted to us by scientific workers of Physics Department at the Opole University, many difficult problems of exact sciences are solved in the interesting way.

There is among us a group of zealous experimentalists, which since VIII Ogólnopolska Konferencja Demonstratorów Fizyki (in free translation VIII All-Poland Physics Demonstrators Conference) has been informally named „Fizoludki”.
